Analisis Peran Kepemimpinan dalam Motivasi Belajar Mahasiswa STIT-YPI Lahat

Abstract
Leadership has an essential role in education, especially in higher education. Leadership can be seen in how each lecturer applies their leadership type, likewise with the lecturers in the STIT YPI Lahat environment. This research was conducted in the STIT YPI Lahat environment with respondents of lecturers and students. In this study, the authors formulated a problem about the role of lecturer leadership in student learning motivation at STIT-YPI Lahat. This type of research is qualitative research with a field study approach. The number of samples in this study was 17 lecturers and 100 students, and the sampling technique used was random sampling. The author uses observation, interview, and documentation techniques to collect data. Then, the data analysis technique is to use triangulation. Based on the study's results, it was found that most samples answered that lecturer leadership plays an essential role in motivating students to learn. Other models stated that other factors, such as exciting teaching materials and methods, encourage students to learn.
