Abstract
This study provided insights for parents on raising children in the digital age from an Islamic perspective. The unstoppable advancement of technology has permeated various sectors of human life, such as early childhood education, particularly for children in kindergarten (TK) or Early Childhood Education (PAUD). Along with the rapid flow of technological progress, it is certain that there are both benefits and harms in accompanying a child’s personal development. Ideally, parents, as the child’s closest environment, should provide understanding and guidance to the child regarding the positive and negative impacts of excessive gadget use. The research question of this study is the role of parents in educating children in the digital age from an Islamic perspective. This activity is a form of research and guidance conducted by the author, as part of the Islamic religious counseling team in Belitang Jaya Subdistrict, East OKU Regency, South Sumatra, for parents in that community. The subjects of this study were 21 parents of students at SS Bina Jaya Kindergarten in Rejosari Jaya Village, Belitang Jaya Subdistrict, East OKU Regency, South Sumatra Province. The methods used were lectures and discussions/Q&A sessions. The results of this study indicate that there are three key areas to focus on when educating children in the digital age: (i) spiritual development; (ii) social development; and (iii) intellectual development.

Studi inimemberikanwawasanbagiorang tuadalammendidikanak diera digitalisasiditinjaudarisudutpandang agama Islam. Tidak terbendungnyakemajuanteknologimendominasikesebagiansektorkehidupanmanusiasepertipendidikanusiadini, terutamaanakpada jenjangpendidikan Taman Kanak-kanak (TK) atau Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD).Seiring denganderasnyaaruskemajuanteknologitersebutdapatdipastikanterdapatkemaslahatan (kebaikan)sekaliguskemudharatan (keburukan) dalammembersamaiperkembanganpribadianak. Seyogyanya, tugas orang tuasebagailingkunganterdekatanakdapatmemberikanpemahamandan pengarahankepadaanaktentangdampakpositif dan negatifdalampenggunaan gadget yang berlebihan. Adapun rumusanmasalahdaristudiiniadalahperan orang tuadalammendidikanak di era digital denganperspektif agama Islam. Kegiataninimerupakanbentukpenelitiansertapendampinganpenulisselakubagiandaripenyuluh agama Islam di kecamatanBelitang Jaya kabupaten OKU Timur Sumatera Selatan terhadap para orang tua di lingkungantersebut. Objekdaristudiiniadalah 21 orang tuasiswadi TK SS Bina Jaya Desa Rejosari Jaya KecamatanBelitang Jaya Kabupaten OKU TimurProvinsi Sumatera Selatan. Metode yang digunakanyaknimetodeceramah dan diskusi/tanyajawab.Hasil kegiataninimenunjukkanbahwaterdapattigaaspek yang dapatdijadikanfokusuntukmendidikanak di era digital, seperti: (i) aspek spiritual; (ii) aspeksosial; serta (iii) aspekintelektual.
