Moderasi Beragama pada Remaja di Desa Suka Makmur

Abstract
This study aims to understand religious moderation among adolescents in Suka Makmur Village, which has religious diversity, including Islam, Protestantism, and Catholicism. The focus of this research is to determine the extent to which adolescents have an understanding of religious moderation and its contribution to fostering harmony among religious groups in the village. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to explore individuals' experiences and perceptions regarding religious moderation. The informants were purposively selected, including the Village Head, Head of Neighborhood Association (RW), Head of Community Association (RT), and adolescents aged 17 to 20. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, which were then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The research findings show that religious moderation among adolescents in Suka Makmur Village is supported by inclusive education that teaches tolerance values, a positive social environment such as family and peers, and involvement in social activities that enrich their perspectives. Religious moderation helps adolescents appreciate differences, develop tolerance, and avoid extremism. No factors hindering religious moderation were found in this village, as the harmonious social environment has fostered a peaceful community. This study contributes to understanding the importance of religious moderation in maintaining social harmony in a pluralistic society.
